- Sorry i'm running a little late,What are we learning today.
- It's okay.Today I will be going over laws of exponents.
- Firstly there are six rules you need to know.Rule one,the product rule if you are multiplying exponents with the same base keep the base and add the powers.
- The second rule is the quotient rule.If you are dividing exponents with the same base keep the base and subtract the powers
- The third rule is the 0 power rule.If a base has a power od 0 then the whole thing equals one.
- The forth rule is a power to a power rule.When you have a exponent in a parenthesis with a power on the outside then you will multiply both powers together.
- The fifth rule is the extended power rule.If an exponent is outside a parenthesis then the exponent is applied to everything inside the parentheses
