  • People Began To Farm And Raise Animals
  • Farming Creates Food Surpluses Which Increases Population
  • Settlements Grow Larger
  • Starting at around 10,000 BCE, people switched from hunting and gathering to taming and keeping animals and growing crops.
  • Some People Start Doing Jobs Other Than Farming
  • The farming created a food surplus and because of the extra food, more and more people came to the settlement. Agriculture Allowed for the people to guarantee a full and healthy meal every day.
  • Some Settlements Grow Into Cities and A System Of Government is Established
  • Because  of the Increase in population, The settlements grew Larger To allow all of the people to have a home
  • Civilization Is Born!
  • Stability And The Increase In Population Led to the development of new skills such as making tools pottery and making clothing.
  • As the settlements grew in population, the first settlements eventually turned into cities. The cities needed a form of government to keep things orderly. This is when the first city created a form of government.
  • As the cities became more advanced they turned into civilizations.
