- Mathilde Loisel is upset that she is living in a middle class house/life. She believes that she deserves to be royalty or around the wealth of the royalty.
- Climax
- Monsieur Loisel delivers what he believes is good news that he got an invitation to a ball but Mathilde is not happy because she doesnt have any jewelry or dress for the ball
- Falling Action
- Monsieur Loisel bought her a dress for the ball so she went to the ball. She was so happy, this was the best day of her life she then danced until 4 in the morning because she enjoyed it so much.
- Resolution
- Mathilde Loisel realizes that she lost the necklace that Madame Forestier gave to her. Then Monsieur Loisel goes out all night to look for the necklace. He comes back in the late morning saying he looked everywhere but he just couldn't find it.,
- Loisel buys a necklace that look the exact same as the one she borrowed from Madame Forestier. Then she brought it for 40,000 fracs.
- Loisel spots Forestier and they see each other Forestier cant believe how much Loisel aged over the years. Loisel revels that the necklace she returned to hers wasnt her original necklace and Madame Forestier explains how the original was very cheap and not real.
