  • The Moors controlled most of the Iberian peninsula for more than 700 hundred years but Spain decided to end it all for once. They went to war with moors for many years but it finally ended in 1492 when the Spanish won.

  • Christopher Columbus was a Italian sailor that wanted to find a water route to India from the west side. Everyone thought he completely lost his mind. He was also poor which was why he couldn't afford to buy boats so he had to ask for sponsors. He tried everywhere asking for boats but everyone thought that he would eventually fall if he continues going west.

  • This is one of the famous scenes where Muhammad XII gives the key to his kingdom to king Ferdinand and queen Isabella. He surrendered the key to Granada and all the people that lived there where now under king Ferdinand and queen Isabella's power.
  • King Ferdinand and queen Isabella converted all Muslims and Jews into Christians. If they were caught practicing their religion, they were named a heretic and they were tortured or killed.
  • This isn't fair!
  • When Columbus and his crew started sailing, it went from a few days to a few weeks and then eventually a few months. Most of the people on his crew lost all hope in him but after 10 weeks of sailing, they found the new world. At that time thought he found India since that's what he was looking for but he soon dicovered that it was North America.
