In the story, "The Black Cat", the narrator is telling a story and flashing back to the events that happened in the beginning. He was an exceptional man that had love for animals, especially for this large black cat named Pluto. He had met a woman that became his wife, that had love for animals also.
Tomorrow I Will Die!
After the marriage, the narrator suffered from violent mood swings and was an alcoholic. He became violent towards his wife and even Pluto. He started to become very abusive towards Pluto and had cut out one of Pluto's eyes.
You Stupid Cat!
Why are you doing this? Stop!
One day, the narrator came home very intoxicated,he started to yell at Pluto and had felt like Pluto was giving him no attention. When he tried to touch him, Pluto bit his hand. The narrator then gets angry and hanged Pluto from the limb of the tree.
You deserve this!
The night of Pluto's killing, the narrator's house burns down. The next day, he visits the house and finds an image of a cat on the wall with a rope around it's neck. He then finds a new black cat that looks similar to Pluto. The only difference is that this cat has a chest of white fur.
You look the same as my old black cat, Pluto.
The mysterious black cat becomes part of the family. One day, the narrator and his wife was down into a cellar. The narrator almost trips over the black cat. He becomes angry and grabs an axe to kill the cat, but his wife blocks him. He then gets mad at his wife and kills her with an axe in her head.
Please! Leave The Cat Alone!!!
The narrator put his wife body into the walls of the basement. The police arrive unexpectedly the next day and the narrator leads them into his house. The police did not realize nothing was wrong until the narrator taps on the wall and heard a scream. The police discovered the body and arrested him.
