- La Bamba
- "I am kind of nervous," Manuel thought to himself.
- Tonight he will be singing La Bamba. It goes something like this. Papa Bailar La Bamba
- La Bamba By: Gary Soto
- Manuel was volunteering in the talent show at his school. He was going to sing La Bamba. Manuel was not wanting to do it but he couldn't drop out now. It was way too close to the talent show. He was scared until the day of the talent show.
- Thank you for coming to my office. I hear you want to see my new book right? If so come right over here.
- Manuel was at the practice when the record player broke. After Manuel was done he held the music down. but then Benny was playing. He was going to play the trumpet. Manuel was so scared that he dropped the record and it got cracked from hitting a wall and that is because he was in a cafeteria.
- Manuel saw his brother wearing his favorite shirt and then he said to himself ," I will deal with him later, now for the show. Then Manuel started singing La Bamba over and over again and the he stopped. Manuel was so happy that people liked his preformance that he was happy for the rest of the day. Manuel was so pleased that people like it he was not as scared. Manuel dealt with the shirt problem in a different way, one reason was because of his happy preformance, and the other one was because of his mom.
- The author is Gary Soto and I think that he is a great author and that he should write more books about more famous songs. Gary Soto is an amazing write and I could never be that good. I think that when I grow up I want to be an author. Gary Soto is a very inspiring author. Gary Soto is my hero because when I grow up I want to write books of songs just like him, if I had to choose 1 job it would be writing books of famous songs that I know and if I had to choose why it would be from Gary Soto.
