- Ecological succession is the process of change in the living parts of an ecosystem.
- Good question! everything was made through, Ecological succession.
- Lest start off with primary succession, Its one of the ways in making the Garden.
- primary succession begins with a lifeless area, only volcanic rock is there, and it usually happens after a natural disaster that leaves no soil, like a volcanic eruption.
- small lichens will begin to from, then mosses, and then finally soil formation
- weeds and grasses will come next, then decomposing plants, and then shrubs and small trees,
- secondary succession begins with soil, and take much less time then primary succession. It is also caused by a natural disturbance, such as a flood, fire, or tornado.
- Next we will talk about secondary succession
- pioneer species are the first organisms to appear in a ecological community. meaning they are the first animals to come to this newly formed ecosystem.
- Because there is already soil, secondary succession starts with growing grasses and weeds, then shrubs, and then trees.
