Storyboard Text

  • Section 1: MarieMarie and her children, Josh and Abbie, are driving to get a puppy from Callie. Marie is trying to connect with her kids because she remembers how her parents neglected her.
  • Section 2: CallieCallie watches her son outside who is tied up so he doesn't hurt himself by running onto the highway or punching things, since he isn't medicated. She thinks about how he is better today and she wants to sell their puppy to make some extra money.
  • Section 3: MarieMarie and the children arrive at Callie's house and Marie thinks about how gross the home is. She thinks it will be good to take the dog to "save" him.
  • The filth, mildew smell...White Trash Dog
  • Section 3: MarieMarie see's Callie's son Bo harnessed to a tree and decides not to purchase the dog. She doesn't want to contribute to an abusive home and she decides to call Child Welfare.

  • Section 4: CallieCallie has to get rid of the puppy (kill it) because her family cannot afford to keep the puppy and Bo may hurt it. She walks away upset, she is only comforted by the fact the Jimmy (her husband) won't have to kill it.
  • Section 4: CallieThough Callie is sad to leave the dog, she ends off dreaming of a future where Bo gets better and her family is happy and well-off. She dreams of a better job in the medical field. Callie ends the story by explaining her love for her son.
