Daedalus uses wax and twine to bind the feathers together to make the wings for both of them.
Icarus falls into the water plummeting to his death.

Daedalus landed on Sicily and built a temple for Apollo as an apology for the god because he disobeyed King Minos and Apollo.

Daedalus flies to the nearest island he could find and buries his son on the beach. He named the island Icaria in honor of his son.
He hung up his wings and laid a feather from his son's wings on the temple.
