Storyboard Text

  • According to Norse Mythology, The world was split up into 2 regions. Muspellium, the region of fire and Niflheim, the region of ice and was separated by the Ginnungagap a space of nothingness.
  • The heat from Muspellium however, began melting the ice from Niflheim where the water droplets made the first frost giant known as Ymir whose intentions and desires were evil.
  • As the ice began to melt, a cow was also created known as Audhumla, who began feeding off the ice freeing the first man known as Buri
  • Buri then set off and had 3 half god half-giant children known as Odin Vili and Vey. Odin and his siblings were concerned that how the giants can quickly reproduce due to the fact Ymir can create other giants due to his sweat.
  • They decided it was best to go and kill Ymir and so waited till the giant slept before going on and killing the giant.
  • With all their effort eventually, Ymir was slain. His body was dragged into the Ginnungagap where his remains became the world. His blood became the rivers and lakes, his flesh and muscles became the land. Vegetation was formed from his hair and the clouds were from his brain. The mountains were from his bones and his skull form the sky.
