Morale/Theme
What is 8 to the power of 3?
In the middle of the book, Jordan starts to make friends with more people like Drew, Alexandra, and Murray. He meets his grandpa and they both go out to get Chinese. They talk mostly talk about school, but sometimes they talk about how much they miss each other. There is also parent teacher conferences that Jordan´s parents go to.
At the end of the book, it was the last day of school, and Jordan gets used to his new school. Also, his bus ends up coming late and he talks with Alexandra. Alexandra would always wear a puppet on her arm. She didn´t ever talk about it either. So she showed Jordan her arm and told him that her mom was boiling water and the pots spilled. And his brother was in the middle of it. So she pushed him away, but she got boiling hot water on her instead.
Hey Dad!
I think that the morale of the story would be not to think what other people think of you. I think that this is the morale because in the book, Murray had been called, ¨Oreo.¨ This made him sad and down. And Alexandra thought that other people would make fun of her arm. But they didn´t even though she had worn it to school every day. And if the didn´t think what others thought about them, then they wouldn´t have the stress of what others think of them and making them feel different.
