  • Branches of Government
  • By. Reece Dodson
  • The three Branches of Government were established in 1789. These Branches are the Legislative, Judicial, and Executive. They all have there own job in the system, but to make sure one branch doesn't have more power than the others. They created Checks and Balances as well.
  • The judicial branch is in charge of deciding the meaning of laws, how to apply them to real situations, and whether a law breaks the rules of the Constitution.
  • Order in the court!
  • In the Judicial Branch they have the Supreme court. In the supreme court they use the Bill of Rights. Which means the Court has the final say over when a right is protected by the Constitution or when a Constitutional right is violated.
  • The executive branch is lead by the president. Which they get help from the Vice president and the Cabinet. They are incharge of enforcing the law. They also have the last saying on bills.
  • The executive is the head of the military. Meaning that they are the ones that could declare war.
