  • The French Citizens were very upset with their King. Most people were very poor and did not have food to eat. The king did nothing about it, which started the revolution.

  • King's Execution
  • While the rich and powerful people all met at a meeting without the poor people, the poor people got very mad. They decided to have their own meeting, and broke into the King's tennis court!

  • After the King refused to help the poor people, the poor people were really angry and decide to storm the Bastille, a prison. This caused a lot of damage and violence, so the King went into hiding.
  • Napoleon Bonaparte
  • The King could not hide for long, as the poor people found him trying to escape France. They humiliated him as they ended his life while everyone watched happily.
  • After the King is killed, the people of France hold a meeting. They create a new set of laws, that is fair for everyone.

  • Not long after the new laws are set in, someone new takes over France. The most famous general, Napoleon Bonaparte, takes over France and helps them win a lot of battles.
