- Hi, my name is Ryan. I am one of many plebeians in Rome. Life is a little harsh. We have no say in anything. All we do is work and work all day. It gets boring doing the same things every day.
- 509 BCE: Finally we over through the Etruscans. I think Rome is creating a republic. I think the patrician people will probably have all the control. That would suck. I hope we get some power in our name for once.
- 494 BCE: Life just has not been that good lately. I mean most of my plebeian friends are leaving because we don't have enough power. I want to join them today but I don't know when maybe at night when the soldiers don't see. I hope we plebians can get more say and power in what Rome does.
- 451 BCE: Finally the patricians agreed they made these amazing twelve tablets that contain laws inscribed onto them. Life has been really good lately. We finally have a little say in the government. When I get old enough I want to be a consultant when the time comes.
- 367 BCE: Finally my dream of being a consultant might come true. They just allowed one of the two consultants to be able to be a plebeian. This is amazing. I can't wait. I really should start to learn some new things about being a consultant. We plebeians can also be a senator but it is not as good as being a consultant in my opinion.
- 287 BCE: Oh yes, we finally won our fight for power. After all this time we can pass laws for all Roman citizens. I am just so excited, I mean I love this. It is all right. We can also join assemblies. I am so happy.
