  • The emperor asked Breaker to build a bridge to his hunting palace.
  • The river was so strong it swept the rocks and logs away - destroying the piers.
  • Breaker and his men built a dam to hold the water back while they built a second set of piers.
  • The river broke through the dam and swept the piers away.
  • After Breaker gave the old man the crutch, he gave Breaker two pellets and told him to drop them in the river where the piers should be.
  • When Breaker dropped the pellets in the water, the piers magically built themselves. Breaker learned that the old man was really an immortal.
