Trevor Noah was quite literally born a crime during apartheid. His mother, Patricia, lived in a town where it was illegal to live in as a black woman and his father was a Swiss-German man. "I grew up in South Africa during apartheid, which was awkward because I was raised in a mixed family, with me being the mixed one". Since his birth parents could not be seen together, eventually, Noah and Robert lost touch when he moved to Cape Town.
"I don't know this kid."
"Daddy!"
To attend church they usually took a minibus when their second-hand car was not working. On this day Trevor and his mother could not find a bus to have a ride home. Seeing no other option she got in a car when a man offered them a ride. After a little while a bus caught up to them and made them get out of the car and onto the bus. After that the bus driver became very aggressive due to the fact that his mother was in a car with a man that was not her husband and out of fear, knowing bus drivers typically had ties to race gangs, Trevor's mother threw him out and jumped out herself to then run as fast as they could.
AHHH!!!
RUN Trevor!!!

During his teenage years he took on many side hustles. He made a friend named Daniel who sold bootleg CDs. When Daniel graduated, he gave the business, including the equipment, to Trevor. His other friend Sizwe knew that he and Trevor could make a lot of money showcasing Trevor’s song mixing talents in front of a live audience. After Trevor graduated, he and Sizwe set up on a street corner selling CDs, playing music, and dancing.
