One sunny morning a mother and daughter decided to walk to MacDonalds
Oh cool! Look at THIS rock!!!
Let me see.
That's a pretty big rock! OOh it's so smooth! I am pretty sure that I saw that rock at the park last week! Do you remember? When it started to rain? And then we had to leave?!
WOAH!!!!! Mom look at this rock it has a huge crack in it !
Oh it does. This happened because of Weathering. It happens when it freezes and when the ice gets to big it cracks. After it cracks more and more water gets into that same crack and freezes then makes the crack even bigger. It will happen over and over again until the rock completely breaks.
I don't know what to get...
I WANT A CHEESEBURGER!!!!!!
Yeah I remember that! This WAS that rock at the park! It got from the park to here because of erosion. When it rained last week the rain's runoff swept and carried away the rock until it finally stopped here, at McDonalds! THAT'S called deposition.
You know when the rain's runoff left the rock at McDonalds that was the step called deposition. Deposition lays it down which technically means that it left it there or dropped it off
So: -Weathering breaks it down -Erosion carries it away -Deposition lays it down
