After a very long fight for freedom against England America who is now on its own and trying to figure out a new government this was a tough thing to do because they did not want to just use the same government that the people in England because that is the reason why so many problems occurred between them so finding the right government. People influence the government that might not necessarily vote The constitution some of these people are known as enlightenment thinkers
The first person I will discuss is a man named Thomas Hobbes Mr. Hobbs believed that people were evil and selfish and were not fit to self govern and they needed a king/monarch to be the boos and tell them what to do
People are evil!
The next enlightenment thinker did not have the same ideas as Hobbs, Mr. Locke believed that all people are born with three natural rights which were life liberty and property he felt that the government needs to protect those rights and not hurt them so they do not necessarily need a overpowering monarch just a government that will be able to uphold these natural rights
These enlightenment thinkers have very different views on what they believe the government should be doing but all these different analysis is we’re taken into consideration and you could see them reflect back on today’s government and how it works
Lifeliberty propety!just 3 rules
The first person I will discuss is a man named Thomas Hobbes Mr. Hobbs believed that people were evil and selfish and were not fit to self govern and they needed a king/monarch to be the boos and tell them what to do
Another man comes around named Montesquieu and says that the government can easily just abuse their power and take away your natural rights so therefore there need s to be a separation of powers in between each types of government so that a couple of people don’t have all power on every single person he believed that the government should be split up into three parts which are executive, legislative ,and judicial
We need separation of powers!
People are evil!

The next enlightenment thinker Rousseau believed that the government signs a social contract with the citizens and a part of this contract is that the government needs to protect the peoples natural rights but if the government does anything to impede those rights or anything other than help the society the citizens are allowed to back out of the government and then make a new system for themselves
