- Gatsby was born "James Gatz," the son of poor farmers, in 1890 in North Dakota. However later on he changed his name to Jay Gatsby. He briefly attended college, then travelled, working on Dan Cody's yacht. After Cody's death, Gatsby expected, but did not get an inheritance.
- Let's go back to town.
- She had said that she loved him, and they knew that they had fallen in love again.
- WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!

- In 1915, the character Nick Carraway graduated from Yale University and went to fight in World War I. After the war, Nick returned to the Midwest. He had moved to a small house right next to Tom Buchanan's mansion.
- NOOOOOO!I was too late.
- Sorry I couldnt get to the house.
- In 1917 and 1918, Jay Gatsby met Daisy Fay and fell in love. He went to serve in World War I, receiving medals for his service in the war. In 1919 Daisy married Tom Buchanan. The couple moved to Chicago, and later to Long Island, New York. During this time, Tom had an affair with the chambermaid. Meanwhile Nick also moved to the West Egg.
- Neither could anyone else.

- Later on Daisy and Gatsby reunited and hit it off. They fell in love and had an affair . Later on they went out to dinner with Nick, Jordan Baker and Tom. On their way back Tom Buchanan was driving recklessly and hit Myrtle , Mr. Wilson's wife while she was trying to escape. He kept on driving, and when he go to the place where they put Myrtle, the husband, Mr. Wilson was there, and so where the cops. Mr. Wilson was going to tell the cops who did is but Tom made him shut his mouth. So, Mr. Wilson believed that Gatsby was responsible.
- Mr. Wilson got super upset with Mr. Gatsby because he believed that he was responsible for the death of his wife. However, that was false. Tom was the one who ran over Myrtle. One day Gatsby decided that he had not used his pool all summer long, so he went for a swim. Little did he know that Mr. Wilson had snuck in and was hiding behind a bush. While Nick was rushing to try and get back to Gatsby, it was too late, Gatsby had been killed. Mr. Wilson had shot Gatsby and then shot himself in the head.

- 3 days after Gatsby dies, his dad showed up. Nick, Gatsby's father, Owl Eyes, and a few servants attended his funeral. This was because Gatsby hadn't really cultivated friendships or personal relationships with anyone, except for Nick and of course, Daisy. After Gatsby's funeral, Nick returned back to where he was from, Tom and Daisy got together, and Jordan Baker got engaged to a man. The West Egg was never the same again after the greatest man had been murdered.
