Storyboard Text

  • "Okay. We're going to discuss the night of the shooting in detail. Are you okay with that?" (19.98).

  • "My two worlds just collided. Surprisingly, everything's all right" (21.78).

  • Starr is in the grand juror room and accounting her relationship with Khalil when the juror asks if it is okay to talk about the shooting. Starr has an internal conflict where most of her wants to hide, but instead, she speaks from the small brave part. She is maturing and knows that she has to speak out for change to happen.
  • Starr has two personalities, one for her friends at school and one for her neighborhood and family. During the barbecue, Starr's neighborhood friends meet Chris for the first time and they get along pretty well. Starr was thinking that if the two worlds weren't kept seperate, the worlds would end.
  • Starr and her friends are caught by Iesha but she lets them go and tells them to take Kenya and Lyric with them. She redeems herself as Seven's mother, sacrificing herself and taking the blame for Devante disappearing.
