Oh, I'm just thinking about life. Death. How things were, how they are, and how they might be in the future.
Oh. And how's that going?
Honestly, not great.
...
Sure.
Fred, can I tell you a story?
Ahem... Once upon a time, there was no life on Earth. No animals, no humans, nothing but *primordial ooze*. From this ooze, life began.
A few billion years later, the earliest humans evolved. And honestly, it's kind of been all downhill from there.
Today, nearly 8 BILLION people inhabit the Earth. And they're pretty much wreaking havoc.
Look around, Fred. Humans really like things, LOTS of things. A lot of plastic.Remember that bottle cap Bob swallowed? It came from humans.
How so?
Yeah. Some of the humans are trying to save the environment, but carpooling and and taking shorter showers isn't going to cut it. Their attempts are pointless, meaningless, absurd... *sigh*
Poor Bob.
Will things be better in the future?
Maybe. But that future might not involve humans.Let's take a look...
Oh wow, a whole new world! No humans. Just plastic, and new life forms that can feed on it!
But what about us, Tommy?
Sorry buddy, it looks like the humans took us down with them. But now there are fish that can eat bottle caps without choking!
