- The French and English fought over the Ohio River Valley that was filled with resources.
- The Plains of Abraham (1759)
- The French had a lot of Native American allies to help them fight. The English realized this and tried to make allies for themselves. This was when the British met with representatives of Iroquois tribes in Albany to ask for an alliance. The Iroquois denied the offer.
- The Treaty of Paris (1763)
- When William Pitt became Prime Minister it marked the turning point in the war. Pitt was known for his military planning. Pitt sent trained British troops to North America and after complaints about the cost of it he planned to tax the colonies greatly after the war.
- The Proclamation of 1763
- The British surprised attacked the French in Quebec and ended up defeating them on the Plains of Abraham. The fall of Quebec marked the defeat of the French in the Americas.
- The treaty of Paris was a document that made France give Britain Canada and Florida from Spain. The British also got all lands east of the Mississippi river while, Spain got lands west of the Mississippi River.
- After the war Britain was in serious debt and passed a law that the colonist could not go West of the Appalachian mountains because they didn't want them to fight with the Native Americans causing them to spend more money.
