- Walter Cunningham
- Walter Cunningham is a scientist and astronaut in the Apollo program. He occupied the lunar module pilot seat for the eleven day flight of Apollo 7. He was NASA's third civilian astronaut. He has also been a fighter pilot, physicist, entrepreneur,venture capitalist, and author of the All-American Boys.
- Michael DeBakey
- Michael DeBakey is a world renowned cardiac surgeon. While in the military he helped develop Mobil Army Surgical Hospitals and the Veteran's Administration Medical Research System. He developed parts for the heart lung mat. He also performed the first successful carotid endarterectomy as treatment for stroke.
- Denton Cooley
- Denton Cooley is an American heart surgeon famous for preforming the first implantation of a total artificial heart. In 1962 he founded the Texas Heart Institute. He was the first surgeon to successfully remove pulmonary embolisms, squeezing the lungs flat to remove the inaccessible blood clots.Cooley and his team made improving techniques for implanting artificial valves.

- Michael Dell is the owner of the Dell Computers which is the leading seller of personal computers. This started the personal computer revolution in the 1980s . His company quickly turned into a megawatt computer company.
- Howard Hughes Sr.
- Benjy Brooks was the first woman to become a pediatric surgeon in Texas. In her work she conducted research on congenital defects, burn treatment, spleen reparation, and the prevention of hepatitis. After returning to Texas she performed pediatric surgery at Texas Children's Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital. She also spent her time volunteering as a teacher at Baylor College of Medicine.
- Howard Hughes Sr. made drill bits for the oil industry and made much of his money in Texas oil. He invented the Sharp Hughes rotary tri cone rock drill bit during the Texas Oil Boom. He had evolved the basic design of the bit which later became world famous.
