- Germany surrendered partially because the US flexed our muscles with the bombings of Japan. The allied forces were advancing from the west and the Soviets were attacking from the east. Their resources whipped out and they surrendered.

- The bombing of Hiroshima is the first atomic bomb strike from the US, it killed up to 40,000 people. It was to save American lives and quickly put world war 2 to an end. - With low supplies and the bombings, the only choice was for Japan to surrender. They were thinking about surrendering before the bombings, so once we bombed it confirmed it.
