- The cane toads were moved to Australia by humans to control beetles that were eating the crops

- In their new ecosystem in Australia, they started to eat different insects other then the beetles that they were sent there to eat, so they started to grow in numbers

- They took the cane toads eggs so that they could not reproduce. Therefore, the cane toads numbers started to decrease.
