Chris is at his graduation, however to his families surprise, he is not excited and he starts embarking on his journey.
I hate my parents, I'm going to donate all my money and isolate myself
Chris McCandless meets Jim Gallien, one of the last people that Chris ever talks to
Chris embarks out into the wild, unprepareddddddd
The prevailing Alaska wisdom held that McCandless was simply one more dreamy half-cocked greenhorn who went into the country expecting to find answers to all his answers to all his problems and instead found only mosquitoes and a lonely death.
Chris isolates himself officially. The last communication he has before he dies.
Hey Guys! This is the last communication you shall receive from me . i now walk out to live amongst the wild. take care. it was nice knowing you. ALEXANDER
Chris isolates himself, however he dies, but his story and bravery lives on
One of his last acts was to take a picture of himself, standing near the bus under the high Alaska sky, one hand holding his final note toward the camera lens, the other raised in a brave, beatific farewell. His face is horribly emaciated, almost skeletal. But if he pitied himself in those last difficult hours—because he was so young, because he was alone, because his body had betrayed him and his will let him down—it’s not apparent from the photograph. He is smiling in the picture, and there is no mistaking the look in his eyes: Chris McCandless was at peace, serene as a monk gone to God.
