- How do earthquakes happen?
- oh no! a conviniently-timed earthquake!!

- and stay still until the shaking stops!
- When outdoors during an earthquake, it is safest to say in an open area, away from trees
- Earthquakes are measured using machines called seisometers
- The largest earthquake ever had a magnitude of 8.9!

- Earthquakes are very dangerous and cause many deaths and injuries
- The destroy buildings, and leave people with no homes
- And, earthquakes that occur on the ocean floor can trigger tsunamis
