- Welcome to sports camp!
- I wish I was as tall as her so I could shoot a basket
- It doesn't matter how tall you are, anyone can shoot a basket
- To score, basketball uses projectile motion. When you shoot with the right form, the ball will project horizontally and vertically to elevate and swoosh in the net.
- Wow I didn't know that sports and physics were related
- How?
- How will I know how far I hit the ball?
- You could calculate the distance by using d = vt or even d = v1t + 1/2at
- Same as in golf, you can use physics to achieve the greatest distance by hitting the ball at a 45 degree angle .
- We can calculate our speed using the formula V = d/t
- You can use physics even for swimming??!!
- We are going to calculate everyones speed to see who can swim the fastest!

- By using the formula a = v/t
- We can even use physics in soccer to calculate the acceleration of the soccer ball

- How can we do that?
- Wow, I always thought that to be good at sports, you had to be the tallest and strongest player. Now I know that once you understand the physics behind the sport and the object of the game your calculations can help you achieve your goal!
