- The Brahmins are at the very top of the castes system. They usually are teachers, priests, and/or protectors of sacred learning. They are more wealthy also.
- Sudras
- The Kshatriyas are right below the Brahmins. They are usually warriors or work in the military. Some are rich, some are poor.
- Untouchables
- Vaishyas are third in the caste system. They are usually traders or money lenders.
- Sudras are at the bottom of the caste. They make up the majority of the population. They are mostly workers.
- The Untouchables are at the very bottom of the caste. They aren't even connected to the caste itself. They are street and sewer cleaners.
