- At last of The Lady of Sorrows, Toward the end of the row of Chinese stores, he caught up with Julia Salas. She found out that Alfredo was getting married and she congratulated him. This is the time when alfredo was really confused of what he want to do.
- After some confession, Julia wanted to respect Alfredo's relationship with Esperanza. Her final words were said and then she said goodbye. After that, Alfredo went home to Esperanza.
- After all that happened finally, Esperanza and Alfredo get married but at some point, Alfredo still thinks about Julia Salas. Afterwards, 8 years have passed, he found out that Julia was still unmarried. But soon he comes to know that something is not the same after all. He is heartbroken & questioned himself if whether he ever loved her truly. He realized it was like a dead star, it maybe just imaginary or non existent.
