Storyboard Text
- I'll take you to Utnapishtim through the Waters of Death.
- Gilgamesh and Enkidu want an adventure to share, so they decide to steal trees from a forest guarded by Humbaba. They slay Humbaba and return to Uruk with the trees.

- He didn't even last one day.
- Enkidu had a dream about the afterlife/underworld. In the dream that the gods were angry with him and Gilgamesh, which the gods met to decide their fate. The gods decide to kill Enkidu.
- After Enkidu's death, Gilgamesh is overcome with grief and tries to seek immortality by visiting Utnapishtim.
- I have failed my quest for eternal life.
- Gilgamesh fails his first attempt to gain eternal life, he can't resist sleep for seven days. Utnapishtim's wife tells him of an underwater plant that grants eternal youth.
- Gilgamesh finds the plant and takes it with him, planning to share it with the elders of Uruk. While Gilgamesh was taking a bath in a well, a snake snatched the plant and disappeared into the water.
- Defeated by the snake after his long journey, Gilgamesh returns to Uruk empty-handed. When he returns he realizes his greatest achievement of all was the creation of his city. Once he returned, he engraved his story in stone.
