  • I celebrate Christmas. Every Christmas morning we always open our presents. We then sing Jesus "Happy Birthday", pray to him, and then have a cake that we make celebrating the birth of Jesus. After that we usually go over to my Pappaw's house with my Uncle, Aunt, and baby cousin there too. I saw myself when I read when the text was talking about celebrating the birth of Jesus and being a Christian.
  • For the window experience I am talking about Hanukkah. I didn't know that Hanukkah was an all Jewish holiday. I learned that Hanukkah is a Jewish festival of lights. Hanukkah celebrates the day that the Israelites reclaimed Jerusalem and rededicated the temple. They also exchange small gifts on the night of Hanukkah. I know some people that celebrate this holiday, and now I feel as though I can appreciate and understand them more.
  • For the door experience I am talking about Kwanzaa. For starters I didn't know at all that it was an African-American holiday. I also learned that the word Kwanzaa means first fruits. On the 6th day many families make crafts and then exchange them on the 7th day of Kwanzaa. Then, celebrate each other and their community during the feast.
