Storyboard Text

  • Dear citizens of the USSR, our country has suffered greatly in the First World War under the Tsar. I, Stalin, obtained this office in 1922, to continue the task of creating a state to serve the working people. Our country was backwards and had few roads and railways under the Tsar. Together we will modernise our country, and take advantage of our great expanses of farmland to produce food for all, and build great roadways.
  • Together we must get rid of Lenin's New Economic Policy and instead focus on collectivizing agriculture and expand industrial production. Under Lenin's economy you were hungry, a more efficient use of our farms will allow us to feed everyone in the Union. Our industrial capacity is lesser than other great powers. We must develop the capacity to outproduce our opponents and defend ourselves from imperialism. Individual farmers working their fields will not be enough to feed the people of the USSR. We must create state-run farms to most efficiently distribute food.
  • There are still enemies of the revolution among us, and they and other opponents of the state must be purged to make way for the establishment of a great society. Anyone who opposes our five-year plans to improve the Union is a traitor and must be purged. Together we can create a great nation!
