The Parliament repealed all of the taxes in the Townshend Act except the tax on tea.
Colonists were angry because 60 Bostonians disguised themselves as Mohawk Indians and jumped aboard 3 ships and threw about 342 chests of tea into the water as a form of protest.
Britain passed punitive laws after the Boston Tea Party.
