In Rome, Italy, in 44 B.C, Julius Caesar has just defeated Pompey and is returning home. The towns people are decorating the streets to celebrate his return.
Cassius starts convincing people, including Brutus, that Caesar is ambitious and they should kill him for the good of Rome.
Caesars wife Calpurnia has a dream that if he goes to the ceremony, he will be murdered. Despite Calpurnia begging him to stay home he goes.
Caesar goes to the ceremony and Brutus, Cassius, and the conspirators stab him.
Cassius kills himself because he thinks Titinius has been captured, when Titinius realizes what has happened he kills himself also. Because of the hain of misunderstanding, Brutus also ends up killing himself by his own sword.
