- Jesus told parables (stories) to give messages. Pharisees criticised him for eating with sinners, so Jesus told them the parable, The Lost Sheep.

- A shepard cared for 100 sheep. He would always count them to see if they were all there.
-
- One evening the shepard only counted 99, so he went out looking for that lost sheep. He was very worried.
- The shephard found the sheep under some rocks. The shephard quickly saved the sheep and headed home.
- The shepard was so happy he threw a party to celebrate bringing home the sheep.
- The message of the parable is that if you wonder off of God's path God will try to help you get back on the path.
