The train started moving, and my sister and I almost fell over. This was our first time riding a subway in Japan, and we were a little scared. We felt cramped, but I was mainly scared that we wouldn't be able to get through the wall of people to get off at our stop.
Don't worry, this will be really quick!
I'm losing my balance! What if we fall?
Current stop, Yokohama. Please exit the train now.
When the train came to our stop, I was really worried we wouldn't be able to get off. There were so many people, we couldn't even fit through. My mom kept having to reassure us that we would make it.
It'll be fine!
What if we don't get off in time??
Don't worry, he'll make it.
My mom led us out of the train, but I got stuck in the crowd! I stumbled through the mass of people and out of the train just before the doors closed. I almost didn't make it out! My heart was racing, and I felt like I just escaped quicksand.
Ahhhhh!
Come on Misha!!
After we got off the train,, I got a chance to catch my breath. I was definitely exaggerating, but in that moment I felt like I had narrowly escaped death. My parents were very calm about it, and they told us to cheer up since they knew my sister and I were overreacting.
Come on! It wasn't that bad!
I almost died!!
I didn't like that at all!
After a short walk, we made it to the restaurant, and we ate a delicious meal. That definitely cheered us up. When we were done, we headed back to the train station.
Wow! That food was great!
It was amazing!
When we got back to the train station and back onto the train, it was more empty than usual since it was late at night. My sister and I were really tired, so we fell asleep on the way home. Although I didn't have the calmest experience on this day, I learned that if you are brave and persevere through a tough situation, you will make it out okay in the end.
