In the south they didn't have that many farms, but they had a lot of stores.
The south grew more cotton than the north because they had more land and water. The north had people who worked in factories and worked fast, the south didn’t because they were working on farms as slaves.
And this is how the northern and southern colonies developed and how they are different.
In the north colonies people worked fast when they made clothing and worked in factories when they made plastic.The north had blacksmiths to make horseshoes. The north had harbors docking and fishing. The north didn’t have a lot of farming. They had stores the north had trade instead of currency.
In the south they had a lot of slaves. In the south they grew cotton. In the south they grew tobacco. In the south they sold tobacco. In the south they mainly had farms. In the south children were home schooled. The south had a lot of land.
The south grew more crops than the north. The north made more items than the south like tools and bottles. The north had many more people than the south because there was more trade so more people came to get more stuff. The south grew more tobacco than the north because the south had more land and more water.
