  • In Italy: Alba Longa 
  • Amulius: Go away from here!
  • A servent of Amulius sent the twin babies in a basket and set them adrift in the Tiber River, where they would die of exposure....
  • The twins were discovered by a shepherd, he and his wife named them Romulus and Remus. 
  • ..the babies did not die. They were fed and cared for by a two animals. 
  • Romulus and Remus grew up and overthrew Amulius.
  • They killed Amulius and restored Numitor as the king of Alba Longa.
  • A quarrel occured, and Romulus killed his brother; they couldn't agree on which of seven hills to build their city.
  • The twins wanted to build their own city, they did not stay in Alba Longa.
  • Romulus built his city and named it Rome. He became the first warrior-king of ancient Rome.
  • Romulus disappeared into a violent storm.
