Take a journey with Rainy the Raindrop through the stages of the water cycle.
Hi, I'm Rainy, Rainy the Raindrop! And I will show you the stages of the water cycle!
Right now, I am going through condensation, which is when a water drop like me turns from a gas back to a liquid and might become snow then melt.
Now i am going through precipitation, which is rain. WATCH ME FALLLLLLLLLLLLL!
Now I am ground water, and when I become ground water. Some rocks can contain me, which is called aquifer. I might also saturate the soil, which is called water table. I will soon return to the ocean because of runoff water. Runoff water is water that flows over the land.
Thanks to runoff water, I was able to get back to the ocean!
I am now going through the last stage, and that is evaporation, where I turn into a gas and return to the clouds and freeze!
An other form of evaporation is called transpiration, which is like plants sweating.
Once back in the clouds, I will restart the cycle..
Well, my friends, this looks like the end of our adventure, but don't worry, I will always being through the cycle so you will always know where to find me!
