Storyboard Text

  • For his last journey, Saint Paul was falsely accused and arrested, later leading to his execution.
  • He and two hundred and seventy four others were put on a ship which was sent to Rome.
  • Unfortunately, the weather was bad and the ship wrecked on the shores of Malta.
  • Everyone on the ship seeked shelter in a cave, which is now known as Saint Paul's Grotto. Whilst there, Paul was bitten by a venomous snake which he fortunately survived by the will of God. They stayed in the cave for three days to regain strength and supplies before making the journey to the city, Melite.
  • Saint Paul stayed in Melite for three months, where it is said he converted Malta to Christianity. Whilst there, Paul completed a number of miracles, including Publius' father of his illness and converting the Governor of Malta to Christianity and later appointed him with the title of Bishop.
  • Once they were prepared and the weather cleared up enough, Paul and the rest of the people he was travelling with finally set off for Rome.
