Storyboard Text

  • This is Adam and Eve, they were the first people on Earth. They lived in a beautiful garden, called the Garden of Eden which had everything you needed. Adam and Eve took care of all the animals.
  • They could eat anything from the garden except from one tree, the tree of knowledge of good and evil. God said that if you eat or even touch the tree, you will die.
  • There were a lot of animals but the serpent was the most clever of them all. The serpent told Eve that God was lying about the tree and that he knows that you will be like God as soon as you eat it, knowing both good and evil. Eve wanted this wisdom that it would give her so she took some of the fruit and ate it then gave some to her husband.
  • As soon as they ate the fruit, their eyes opened and they noticed that they became naked. They were embarrassed so they hurried and created clothes to cover up.
  • When the cool evening breezes were blowing, Adam and Eve heard Gods footsteps, so they hid among the trees. God called for Adam, "Where are you?" Adam came out still in the bush and explained that he hid because of the embarrassment of being unclothed," God said, "Why are you naked, did you eat from the tree I told you not to eat?" Adam then explained what had happened (3rd box).
  • When God heard what happened, God punished the serpent by getting rid of his hands and legs so that he would crawl on his belly from then on. God told Eve that she would have great pain in her life. God told Adam that because he disobeyed God and listened to his wife, that his life would be very difficult. They would have to work hard to live and survive. God made them clothing from the animals and sent them away and closed up the Garden. God knew that Adam and Eve could no longer stay in the garden due to their sin.
