- “Hunting? Good God, General Zaroff, what you speak of is murder.” rainsford learns that zaroff is hunting humans and is forced into being hunted

- “I congratulate you,” he said. “You have won the game.”" this is describing that rainsford didn't lose, which means that conflict is at it's end
