- We are going to the underworld
- Here is an offering of a lamb, cheese and honey. Let me speak to the blind profit before you can have it.
- You can get home, but it will be tuff, this is what you have to do...
- Odysseus told his men that they are going to travel to the house of hades aka the underworld to talk to the blind prophet.
- I killed myself wanting to see you. Your dad is not doing well.
- Mom? How did you get here?
- When they got to the underworld, Odysseus made an offering of cheese and honey to the dead. He also killed two sheep for them. He wouldn’t let them have it until he got to speak to the blind prophet.
- My wife killed me!
- Agamemnon! How?
- The blind prophet told him that it would be difficult to get home, but it was possible. He had to follow a series of things in order to get home to his wife and child.
- He saw his mom and it brought him to tears. His mom killed herself out of the agony of losing him. His mom also said that his dad isn’t doing well and it’s crushing him that his son is missing.
- Odysseus also saw his friend Agamemnon. Apparently his wife killed him.
- Odysseus met lots of ghosts and heard their stories. After every time he spoke to someone they came and drank the blood of the sheep.
