- (Background Information)Lately life has been unfair for us Nobles because King John has been over using his power and authority.(How this changed life)Now we get a little more authority of the king and what he decides.
- Finally we got King John to sign the Magna Carta that will force him to consult us Nobles before imposing special taxes!
- This taxe money is wonderful. With the new invention of the bow (Long -bow) I no longer need to rely on the nobles to supply me with knights. (Background Information)With the king raising successful armies and collecting more taxes, he relies less on nobles and knights to support his army. During this time the king would have gained power during the 100 year war.
- This is the long-bow that took jobs away from knights because they were extremely easy to use, that peasants took their spot in the battle field.
- I have no other choice than to say yes.(upset)
- (Background Information)With the Black Death killing many people, especially peasants, there is a lack of workers which allows peasants to charge more money to their nobles and to take a step up on the social order. Peasants gained power during the Black death if they did not die from it.
- I demand more money and more rights!
