- That doesn't sound fair to the crafts men building this aqueduct, We are gong to veto that idea.
- In the Roman Republic there would be two Consuls, and they were typically from wealthy means. These two Consuls would be elected for one year and could only make changes if they both agreed.
- The Magistrates in the Roman Republic, were the judges of the city, they also looked over the money of Rome. Once they retired they would join the Senate who would give advice to the Consuls.
- The Tribunes in the Roman Republic, protect the Plebeians and salves. They protect them against unfair treatment and hold veto power against the senate.
