Storyboard Text

  • Once, about 65 million years ago, dinosaurs ruled the earth.
  • Nobody knows exactly why the dinosaurs became extinct . . .
  • We need a fresh water supply from rivers and streams to drink from!
  • Some of us even eat each other!
  • We need lots of trees and scrub, for both food and shade from the hot sun!
  • The most popular scientific theory is that a meteorite crashed into the earth, causing volcanos to spew ash and gas, wiping out all of the dinosaurs.
  • How did we die out?
  • The ash and gas from the volcano suffocated the dinosaurs. There were also diseases and food chain imbalances that caused the dinosaurs' extinction.
  • The meteorite changed climatic conditions so drastically that the dinosaurs could not survive.
  • Since then, dinosaur bones and skeletons have been discovered all over the world!
  • Now you can see dinosaur bones, skeletons and models in museums.
