King MIdas goes to Dionysus with his wish. He wishes for anything he touches to turn to gold. Dionysus grants his wish. He returns home and tests out his new power.
The king realizes that when he tries to eat and drink the food turns to gold. He freaks out but then his daughter comes to find him. He tries to tell her to stay away but she doesn't listen. She gives him a hug and turns to gold. He doesn't know what to do.
King MIdas goes to see dionysus and asks him to reverse the power. Dionysus tells him to go to the river potalcus and wash himself in the waters. So king midas listens. After he wades into the water he starts to see pieces of gold at the bottom. he thinks it worked.
To see if going in the river worked King MIdas returned home to see his daughter. Lucky for him she was fine and everything went back to normal. HE becomes appreciative and content with what he has. This experience has made him not greedy. He is happy with his life and what he has.
