In conclusion, the Dutch language has heavily influenced the development and creation of the Indonesian Language we have today, and use daily in our classes and regular conversations. Through their colonization of our country, through the education of our youth and the building of schools, and through their failure to suppress our national heroes, around 20% of contemporary Indonesian are of Dutch origin, and many of our elders speak the language.
