Storyboard Text

  • Brutus an Cassius are mourning the death of Portia, Brutus' wife, by drinking wine, as Lucius exits the tent and Titinius and Messala enter.
  • Messala, Titinius, Cassius, and Brutus talk about letters that they have been receiving talking about the deaths of senators and how they differ for one another.
  • They move on from that subject and Brutus asks them how they feel about marching to Phillipi immediately. Cassius disagrees and he thinks that they should wait for the others to come to them. After consideration, they decided that they will leave first thing in the morning and march to Phillipi.
  • With that settled, they all left for bed. Brutus stayed since it was his tent they had met in, and he had Varrus and Claudio sleep in his tent so that they could go get Cassius when Brutus was ready. He also had Lucius play his flute.
  • Lucius falls asleep and Brutus is awake by himself. He sees the most bizarre thing, Caesar's ghost! The ghost tells Brutus that he'll meet him in Phillipi.
  • Brutus tells the other about what he saw and they told him that they saw, nor heard anything. He tells them to go get Cassius and inform him that they will leave first thing in the morning.
